THE PAST, THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE OF MFMCF LAUTECH.

We want to appreciate God for the past, present and future of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Campus Fellowship LAUTECH.

The fellowship started with a few like-minded brethren who came together for Students’ Fellowship at the Mother Church, MFM Ogbomosho where they started meeting and in the evening they met for house-fellowship. This continued until at a particular time there was a burden in the heart of the past leaders (Brother Deola Daramola, Brother Adekoya, Brother Peter Bamidele, Brother Gbenga Taiwo) to start a Campus Fellowship.

The Campus Fellowship initially started in Nasifa Primary School, Sabo and August 2003, was the day the Fellowship moved to the campus proper and this stands as the clear beginning of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Campus Fellowship, LAUTECH Chapter. The fellowships’ population was between 20-25, the venue of Sunday Worship Service was at Tutorial Block A4 and Friday Prayer meeting was at Tutorial Block at Urban Regional Planning Studio.

The First President of the fellowship is by name Deola Daramola, who graduated from the department of Pure and Applied Chemistry and the First General Secretary is by name Peter Bamidele, who graduated from the department Mechanical Engineering.

On the 8th of February, 2004 was the first major induction service of the fellowship, it was held at 250 lecture theatre where Brother Peter Bamidele was inducted as the president, Brother Gbenga Taiwo as the general secretary and Sister Aramide Ajeigbe as the Sisters’ coordinator, other leaders where also inducted. From that time MFMCF is committed to raising a standard which is Jesus Christ and building of men through discipleship. The president made a statement at that time that MFMCF has a commitment in this campus that righteousness should reign and iniquity should be dethroned and this is the effect of revival.

On the 9th of January, 2005 there was another induction service in which Brother Peter Bamidele was again inducted as the president, Brother Ibukun Sunday (vice president), Brother Ayo Omosanya (financial secretary), and all other leaders were also inducted.

We must sincerely thank God for the past leaders who have graduated, who fought, labored, served to see that MFMCF LAUTECH was established on this campus. Apart from the above named leaders we also had these other great leaders; Brother Akin Iyiola, Brother Tunji Junaid, Sister Yinka Martins, Brother Abayomi Shomefun, Sister Funke Ogundipe, Sister Biola Ojo, Sister Tola Adeshina, Sister Kemi Shorinwa, Sister Folake Ologede, Brother Joshua Kayejo, Brother Lekan Raji, Sister Bimbo Olegede, Brother Olaiya etc. to mention but few.

Between the year 2004 and 2005, the fellowship population grew to average number of 80 members and before the end of the year 2005, we moved our Sunday services to the micom shed, Wednesday bible study and Friday prayer meetings to the motion ground.

On the 11th of December 2005, there was another induction service, which marked the beginning of my work as the president of this fellowship, alongside with me was

Brother Gbenga Taiwo (vice president), Sister Aramide Ajeigbe (Sister Coordinator), Brother Abayomi Shomefun (general secretary), Brother Mayowa Adekoya as the financial secretary, and others leaders were also inducted. In view of this mandate I got from the Lord, which goes thus; Now therefore arise and go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, and to the land which I do give them (Joshua 1:2). He came up with the mission statement of the fellowship; Conquering Lands through Prayer, Evangelism and Discipleship. This formed the basis of all activities in the fellowship. The tenure started with a workers’ vigil tagged Pentecost Night on the 15th of December, 2005. All other major programs and activities followed this apart from Sunday Worship Service, Wednesday Bible Study and Friday Prayer Meeting
